The Oriental Jazzband is a young, old traditional style jazzband from Enkhuizen, Holland, founded in 1999 by Hans-Peter Pluim (ex-cornet player of the Freetime Old Dixie Jassband). After starting out with 4 boys on the local music-school the formation is now complete with 6 guys and one girl. The average age in the band now is about 22 and everybody is still in school.
